Women’s Soccer closes out its season at Presbyterian

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will travel to Presbyterian Wednesday evening at Martin Stadium for its final match of the regular season. Kickoff for Wednesday's matchup is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – Asheville took a 3-2 loss at home to Campbell last Saturday. With Saturday's loss to the Camels, the Bulldogs are now 4-9-3 overall and 2-5-1 in Big South play.
Clark Comes Up Big - Senior Lindie Clark led the way for the Bulldog offense in the loss to Campbell on Saturday, opening the game with a goal and assisted Kaiya Boyd's game-tying goal later in the match. In her final season as a Bulldog, the senior is having her best season yet, scoring her second goal against Campbell, earning a career high six points, and starting 15 matches this season.
Senior moving up the save charts - Goalkeeper Bronwyn Luitwieler continued to move up in the UNC Asheville record books after her six-save performance against Campbell, moving to ninth all-time with 121 saves. Luitwieler needs just five saves to pass Tracy Brainard's 125 to move up to eighth on the all-time saves list.
About Presbyterian – Presbyterian enters Wednesday's match with Asheville sporting a record of 1-12-3 overall and 1-6-1 in Big South play. The Blue Hose earned their first win of the season last Saturday, defeating High Point, 2-1, in a come-from-behind win. Freshman Sloan Sprees leads the Blue Hose with four goals scored and 20 shots on goal, followed closely by Kori Lawrence, who has scored three goals and secured the game-winning score in their match against High Point.
