Men’s Tennis registers sweep over North Carolina Central

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team continued its strong start to the Spring 2022 season, collecting a 7-0 sweep over North Carolina Central at the Asheville Racquet Club on Saturday.
Jon Brann Reid and Leo Bierbaum took care of business to the tune of 6-1 at the No. 1 doubles flight, while Bruno and Rafa Serra matched that score to pick up the doubles point for the Bulldogs.
In singles action, Reid topped Miles Clark 6-3, 6-2 at the No. flight, while Bierbaum topped Amit Baran 6-1, 6-0. At the No. 3 flight, Sirawite Daesaingsawang scored a 7-6, 7-3 tiebreak win in set one before cruising to a 6-1 victory in set two. Bruno Serra topped Oliver Saarinen 7-5, 6-1, while Quinn Fender dispatched Shaka Cristellotti 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 5 position. Rafa Serra would close out the clean sweep at the No. 6 spot, winning 6-1, 6-0.
The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround, hosting Tusculum on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
