ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team returns to the court on Saturday and Sunday, traveling to Longwood (12:00 p.m.) and Campbell (1:00 p.m.), respectively.

The Bulldogs are 3-5 on the season, dropping their lone conference match at Gardner-Webb on Tuesday (4-3). In singles action, Liz Alet Morkel has had an extremely strong season, going 6-1 at the No. 1 flight.  Ami Grace Dougah is 6-2 overall, going 5-2 at the No. 2 flight. As a duo, Dougah and Rosie Dickson are 5-1 at the No. 1 doubles position while Morkel and Taylor and Love are 5-3 as a tandem.

Scouting the Lancers
Since 2005, the Lancers and the Bulldogs have met nine times, with Asheville taking eight matchups overall with the Lancers snapping the win streak with a 5-2 win in 2018-19. Longwood is 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in Big South play, but is coming off a pair of 7-0 wins over Chowan and N.C. A&T. Emma Nurgazieva has picked up the most singles wins (4-3), going 3-1 at the No. 1 flight. Maria Saez and Nina Hederich have teamed up to go 3-2 as a pair.

The Camels enter this weekend with a 2-4 record, falling to Charleston Southern 5-2 on Wednesday, hosting Radford on Friday (March 20).
