Women's Tennis falls to Western Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis welcomed Western Carolina to the Asheville Racquet Club on Wednesday, falling to the Catamounts 5-2.
Lize Alet Morkel, who was named Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday, was victorious at the No. 1 singles flight, topping Kata Foldeak 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Alet Morkel and teammate Taylor Love looked good in their No. 2 doubles match, winning 6-0.
Beatrice Faureng and Brianna Taranto held their own at the No. 3 doubles, winning 6-1. Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson put up a strong fight at the No. 1 doubles position, but fell 6-4.
Asheville will hit the road for the second time this season, traveling to Limestone for a match beginning at 11 a.m.
