Men’s Tennis wraps up play in Spartan Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team capped off play in its final tournament of the fall on Sunday, finishing day two of the Spartan Invitational.
The Bulldogs opened up with double action against host UNCG, registering a clean sweep over the Spartans. Rafa and Bruno Serra topped their opponent 6-4, while Quinn Fender/Sirawit Daosaengsawang and Harry Thursfield/Leo Bierbaum each were victorious 6-2.
Against Davidson, Bierbaum and Thursfield won 7-6 (2), while Reid/Daosaengsawang topped its opponents 6-2. Fender and Bruno Serra also teamed up for a 6-3 win.
Against Elon, Jon Brann Reid and Thursfield were victorious 6-4, while Bierbaum and Daosaengsawang topped its opponent in tie-breaking fashion 7-6 (4). Thursfield and Fender ended the day on high notes, cruising to two-set wins.
The Bulldogs will open up its spring season in January when it hosts Charlotte at the Asheville Racquet Club.
