Bulldogs to Battle Blue Hose Tuesday Evening

CLINTON, S.C. – UNC Asheville women's basketball will travel to Clinton, S.C. for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Presbyterian Blue Hose, Tuesday, February 11, inside the Templeton Center.
UNC Asheville (12-10, 6-7) has played to a 6-7 record in Big South Conference play. Three of the Bulldogs six victories have come from inside Kimmel Arena as UNC Asheville has defeated Presbyterian, Campbell and High Point at home. The Bulldogs defeated USC Upstate in the Hodge Center for their first Big South road win of the season before taking down preseason favorite Radford inside the Dedmon Center a few days later. The Bulldogs grabbed another victory on the road as they defeated Winthrop, 50-43, inside the Winthrop Coliseum on Jan. 28.
Since conference play began on Dec. 28, two Bulldogs have averaged a double-digit point total as Nadiria Evans has scored 14.1 points per game in conference play while redshirt senior Sonora Dengokl is currently averaging 12.7 points per game through the first 12 Big South games of the season. Brooke Jordan-Brown is leading the Big South Conference with 12 rebounds a game since conference play began.
Presbyterian (8-14, 4-9) is currently sitting in ninth place in the conference standings. They opened Big South Conference play with an 0-5 record before splitting their last eight games with a 4-4 record. The Blue Hose have secured victories against Gardner-Webb, USC Upstate, Charleston Southern and Longwood. USC Upstate is the only Big South Conference opponent they have defeated inside the Templeton Center this season.

- The Bulldogs and the Blue Hose opened Big South Conference play this season by facing each other on Dec. 28 inside Kimmel Arena. The Bulldogs picked up the 54-39 victory. Zip Scott led the Bulldogs with 13 points while Brooke Jordan-Brown corralled 23 rebounds.
- Redshirt senior Sonora Dengokl scored her 1,000th career point on February 4. The Sumter, S.C. native is now the 21st Bulldog in UNC Asheville history to reach the career milestone.
