Women’s Tennis Earns Seventh Seed at 2019 Big South Women’s Tennis Championship

RADFORD, Va. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team will be the seventh seed in the upcoming 2019 Big South Women's Tennis Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting that will be held April 16-19 at Radford University.
As the seventh seed, UNC Asheville women's tennis opens the championship by taking on 10th-seeded Hampton at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.
The winner of the seventh-seeded UNC Asheville-10th-seeded Hampton match will advance to face second-seeded Presbyterian College in the quarterfinals of the championship at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.
The UNC Asheville women's tennis team enters the 2019 Big South Women's Tennis Championship in the midst of a two-match winning streak. The Bulldogs finished the regular season 8-8 overall and 3-6 in Big South play. The Bulldogs were an impressive 8-2 at home on the season.
UNC Asheville and Hampton will be meeting for the second time in 10 days on Tuesday with the Bulldogs picking up a 7-0 win over the Pirates on Senior Day at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown on Saturday, April 6. To learn more about the match, please visit HERE.
