Bulldogs Host Charleston Southern Wednesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's tennis is set to host Big South Conference rival Charleston Southern on Wednesday, March 13, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The match will begin at 1 p.m.
UNC Asheville is 5-4 on the season. They have played well in their home facility, owning a 5-2 record. The Bulldogs are 0-2 in conference play after dropping a road match to Winthrop and just barely dropping their conference opener, 4-3, against Radford.

Freshman Standout
UNC Asheville women's tennis freshman standout Lize Alet Morkel was chosen as the Big South Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019.
The honor is the second from the league that Morkel has received this season. A mid-year enrollee, Morkel was also named conference Player of the Week on Jan. 23, 2019.
On the season, Morkel has seven wins at singles. She has played all of her matches at No. 1 singles.
Scouting Charleston Southern
Charleston Southern is 5-5 on the season. They are 2-3 away from home, taking road losses to Clemson, Furman and Charlotte. The Buccaneers are currently 3-1 in the Big South Conference.
