Emily Sidor Advances to Singles Final at Georgia Southern Fall Shootout

STATESBORO, Ga. – Senior Emily Sidor advanced to the championship match of her singles bracket as UNC Asheville's women's tennis team completed the second day of action at the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout, Saturday.
Sidor had to rebound after dropping the first set, 6-1, to Mercer's Alara Hollyfield, but did just that, taking the second and third sets, both by a score of 6-1. She will face off against Malin Beuchner of Jacksonville State, Sunday, for the championship in the GATA Singles bracket.
Junior Taylor Love won her match in the back draw of the White Singles bracket, easily taking down Valerie Droop of SCAD-Savannah, 6-1, 6-1.
In the back draw of True Blue Doubles, Love and Ami Grace Dougah rebounded for a victory while Sidor and Brianna Taranto also advanced in the back draw of the White Doubles Bracket.
Competition will conclude at the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout, Sunday.
