UNC Asheville Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Schedule This Weekend

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team will open their fall campaign this weekend at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
The USCU Spartan Women's Challenge is scheduled to be held Sept. 7-9 at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex in Spartanburg, S.C.
UNC Asheville's fall opener at the USCU Spartan Women's Challenge is one of three scheduled tournaments in which the Bulldogs will be competing in the fall of 2018.
In addition to opening things up this weekend at the USCU Spartan Women's Challenge, the Bulldogs will also compete in the Spartan Classic Invitational hosted by UNCG in Greensboro, N.C. Oct. 6 and 7 and the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Oct. 26-28.
UNC Asheville women's tennis enters the upcoming season having lost just one student-athlete from last year's team.
The Bulldogs were impressive at home last season with nine wins.
The 2017-18 UNC Asheville women's tennis team finished the athletic year with a 3.382 grade-point average as a team to be named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team.
Four Bulldogs were tabbed ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season in Madeline Finley, Anastasia Horvat, Christin Louw and Emily Sidor.
