2018 ITA Women's Tennis All-Academic Teams
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named the UNC Asheville women's tennis team as an All-Academic Team on Tuesday, July 24, while four Bulldogs were tabbed Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letterwinner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
The 2017-18 UNC Asheville women's tennis team finished the athletic year with a 3.382 grade-point average as a team.
UNC Asheville's Madeline Finley, Anastasia Horvat, Christin Louw and Emily Sidor were the four Bulldogs honored for their efforts by the ITA.
