Bulldogs Drop Home Finale to Campbell

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team dropped its regular-season home finale to league foe Campbell, 4-3, on Sunday, April 8, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The match opened with UNC Asheville (7-11, 2-5 Big South Conference) taking the doubles point over Campbell (13-5, 5-1 Big South Conference). The Bulldogs took wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to secure the point.
The nationally 38th-ranked duo of Henry Patten and Olly Cull improved to 11-1 on the season with a 6-1 win over Dustin Werner and Lorenz Schwab at No. 1 doubles, while Oli Nolan and Edward Colclough picked up a hard-fought 7-6 win over Gerard Sola and Jonathan O'Neal at No. 2 doubles.
Colclough and Nolan have now won their last six doubles matches.
The Bulldogs would garner wins at No. 1 and No. 6 singles.
Nationally 76th-ranked Henry Patten won his seventh straight in singles with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Ondrej Labik at No. 1 singles. At No. 6 singles, Finlay Ray McFadyen garnered a 6-3, 6-0 win over Ted Williams.
UNC Asheville men's tennis will next close out its regular-season by traveling to Elon, N.C. to take on Elon at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10.Â
