2019: Earned NCAA Division I All-American honors in doubles from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association ... Named Big South Player of the Year for the third consecutive year … One of only two Bulldogs to win three Player of the Year Awards in any sport in UNC Asheville history … He is one of just four in Big South men’s tennis history to win Player of the Year three or more times ... Patten and Oli Nolan secured a national championship victory at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships … In addition to the national championship win, Patten was also voted by the ITA Officials at the event to receive the Sportsmanship Award for the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships ... Patten and Nolan were ranked number one nationally for three consecutive polls by the Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings before dropping to No. 2 for much of the spring season … Participated in the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Doubles Championships as a No. 4 seed … The duo ended the season ranked No. 4 nationally in the Oracle ITA rankings … Patten and Nolan were named Big South First-Team All-Conference in doubles … Patten was named Big South First-Team All-Conference in singles … Was 14-2 in singles despite missing time with injury … Won 11 doubles matches … Played all matches at No. 1 in singles and doubles ... 2018: Patten became the first student-athlete in the history of UNC Asheville men's tennis to be selected to the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Singles Championships ... Patten closed out his junior season ranked 60th nationally in the final Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings ... He was ranked 10th in the final Carolina Region Rankings ... Patten became just the second player in Big South history to advance to the second round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship with a thrilling 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Alex Lebedev of Notre Dame on May 23 ... The win was the first win for the UNC Asheville men's tennis program in the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship ... After the first round win over Lebedev, Patten ended his year with four top-35 wins in the 2017-18 athletic year ... Patten entered the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Singles Championships 12-3 overall in dual matches in singles ... In dual matches, he closed out the year in the midst of a nine-match winning streak ... Patten as chosen as the Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Year for the second consecutive season ... In addition to his honoring as Big South Player of the Year, Patten was also chosen first-team in singles and doubles ... Patten was also chosen to the Big South All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season ... Tabbed as the Big South Player of the Week three times (Feb. 7, March 28 and April 4) over the course of the spring season ... After battling injuries early in the spring of 2018, Patten finished the regular season at 11-3 overall ... His winning percentage of .786 during the regular season was the best among those who played 10 or matches at No. 1 singles in the Big South ... Patten ended league play 5-1 at No. 1 singles ... Patten was ranked all of the 2017-18 athletic year in singles and was ranked as high as a program-best 32nd nationally in the Oracle/ITA NCAA Division I Collegiate Rankings ... In doubles, Patten and Olly Cull were ranked as high as 38th nationally ... The duo ended the regular season with an 11-2 record with all of their matches being at No. 1 doubles ... The duo was 4-1 in conference matches ... The 11-2 record during the regular season gave the Bulldog duo the best winning percentage (.846) at No. 1 doubles in the Big South Conference ... The Bulldog No. 1 doubles duo ended the year at 11-3 overall. 

2017: Chosen as the Big South Men’s Tennis Player of the Year … Also tabbed first-team all-league in singles and doubles … Patten also earned a spot on the Big South Men’s Tennis All-Academic Team … Patten is just the second Bulldog to be selected the Big South Men’s Tennis Player of the Year and the first since the league’s inaugural honoree in 1985 … He finished the regular-season a perfect 19-0 in singles play on the No. 1 court and dropped only one set along the way … He is the first Asheville player in the history of the program to go undefeated at the No. 1 flight … Patten defeated the nation’s No. 66 and No. 102 ranked players in singles action and earned Big South Player of the Week honors twice … Patten was tabbed 118th nationally in the Oracle/ITA Division I Collegiate Rankings that were released on April 18, 2017 … Patten was ranked 14th in the final Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings – Carolina of the 2017 season …  Patten would overall close out his 2017 campaign at 20-1 at No. 1 singles … In his two seasons with the Bulldogs, Patten is now 34-4 overall in singles … A two-time All-Big South selection in both singles and doubles, Patten and senior Josh Swindler finished the 2017 season at 20-1 at No. 1 doubles … The duo concluded their final doubles campaign together having won 16 straight to close out the season … Patten and Swindler in their two years together as a duo were 34-4.

2016: Chosen first-team All-Big South Conference … Twice named Big South Freshman of the Week (3/30 and 4/6) ... Finished with a 14-3 overall singles record … Concluded league play with a 6-1 overall record … Closed year on a nine-match winning streak … Played mainly at No. 2 singles where he was 10-1 on the year … Pairing with Josh Swindler at No. 2 doubles, Patten was also 14-3 in doubles play … The duo was a perfect 8-0 in league play … The perfect league mark allowed the pairing to pick up second-team All-Big South Conference honors in doubles.

Before UNC Asheville: Graduated from Culford High School with a GPA of 3.6 after transferring from Ipswich School … Earned the Business Studies prize at Culford School … Current member of Roundwood Tennis Club … Achieved top-30 national ranking in the United Kingdom.
