COMPLETE RESULTS

BOONE, N.C. – To conclude the regular season, two UNC Asheville track and field records (men's 4 x 100m and men's 400m) fell on Saturday at the Appalachian State Last Chance Meet at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Meet Highlights

In the men's 4 x 100m relay, Kimani Anderson, Hunter Koike, Tyree McFalling and Victor Mathuthu finished fourth with a new school record. The four Bulldogs clocked a time of 42.35, which was 0.32 seconds faster than the previous UNC Asheville record.

For the second time of the meet, another school record fell, as it now marks the third straight week a Bulldog has broken the UNC Asheville school record in the men's 400m. The last two weeks, Koike improved both marks, but this week, McFalling bested his teammate with a time of 49.06. The previous record held by Koike was a 49.28. The 49.06 performance by McFalling was 0.24 seconds faster than he raced last weekend at the Duke Invitational. Anderson also had a strong performance in the same event, as he finished sixth in the event. He clocked a 49.25, which is a new personal record.

In the women's long jump, Nadiria Evans and Asia Washington finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Evans made a leap of 5.40m, while Washington posted a 5.38m jump. Evans' jump broke her previous-best mark by 0.03m, and Washington matched her personal record.

In the men's triple jump, Mathuthu posted runner-up status, as the freshman made a jump of 14.40m.

Desire Brown, Jasmine Cox, Washington and Jailah Grimes recorded a strong finish for UNC Asheville in the women's 4 x 100m relay. The foursome finished third with a 48.43 time.

In the women's 1500m, Kelley Coleman paced the Bulldogs, as the junior placed sixth with a 5:00.76 time. Phoebe Schneider finished two spots behind her teammate, as the senior clocked a 5:06.36.

Dominic Collichio led UNC Asheville on the men's side of the 1500m. The senior placed fifth with a 3:55.79 time. The time is a new personal record for the Carrboro, N.C. native, as he shaved off over three seconds from his previous-best mark. Sage Turner and Chilton Birdwhistell rounded out the top-15 finishes for Asheville, as they placed 11th and 13th, respectively.

Maddie Lowe finished in the top 5 in the women's 800m, as the senior placed fourth with a 2:21.41.

On the men's side of the 800m, David Hager also finished in the top 5. He earned fifth-place honors with a 1:52.62, which is a new personal record for the senior.

Heather Grober was the lone winner for Asheville on Saturday, as the freshman claimed first-place honors in the women's 400m hurdles. The Hermitage, Pa. native clocked a 1:03.15 time, which was over three and a half seconds faster than the runner-up.

Three Bulldogs – Brown, Grimes and Cox – all finished in the top 10 in the women's 200m. Brown finished sixth to lead the trio, as she earned a 25.63. Grimes placed eighth, and Cox finished 10th.

Graham Parker finished second in the men's 5000m, as he clocked a 16:27.66 time. It was the first time in his career he had raced in the event.

To conclude the meet, UNC Asheville finished second in the women's 4 x 400m relay. Brown, Cox, Kayli Nichols and Grober finished with a 4:11.56, which was over 10 seconds faster than the third-place finisher.
