Bulldogs Collect Impressive 6-1 Home Win Over Wofford

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team picked up an impressive 6-1 home win over Wofford on Friday, March 9, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The match opened with UNC Asheville (6-4) collecting the doubles point over Wofford (8-3) with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
In a fantastic matchup against two of the best doubles teams in the region, the Bulldog No. 1 duo of Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley improved to 8-2 on the year with a 7-5 win over Cassidy Hicks and Jenna Vroman. The Wofford No. 1 duo had entered the match 9-1 on the year.
UNC Asheville secured the doubles point at No. 2 doubles with Christin Louw and Lauren Watson-Steele besting Wofford's Curran Carver and Brittany Wilbur, 7-5.
UNC Asheville would collect wins in five of the six singles flights to take the 6-1 win in the match.

Emily Sidor continued her tremendous winning streak with a 7-6, 1-6, 6-4 win over Jenna Vroman at No. 2 singles. Sidor has now won seven straight singles matches. She is a perfect 5-0 on the year at No. 2 singles. Christin Louw won her third straight singles match with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 win over Curran Carver.
