LYNCHBURG, Va. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team dropped its Big South Conference match, 7-0, at Liberty on Friday, March 30.
The match opened with Liberty (10-7, 4-0 Big South Conference) taking the doubles point over UNC Asheville (9-7, 2-3 Big South Conference).
The Bulldogs just missed on taking the win at No. 1 doubles with the No. 1 UNC Asheville duo of Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley falling 7-6 (7-5) to Anna Dollar and Evangeline Crist.
UNC Asheville would continue to battle in singles with Amalie Davidsen narrowly missing out on the win at No. 4 singles in a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) loss to Polina Miroschnichenko.
UNC Asheville will next battle the Highlanders of Radford at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, in Radford, Va. The match against the Highlanders is UNC Asheville's final regular-season road match of the 2018 spring season.
