UNC Asheville Women’s Tennis Travels to Western Carolina on Thursday

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team looks to win its fourth straight on Thursday, March 15, when they face rival Western Carolina.
UNC Asheville (8-4) and Western Carolina (5-4) are scheduled to get things underway at 2 p.m. on Thursday in Cullowhee, N.C.

Last Time Out
The UNC Asheville women's tennis team won its third straight match and first conference match of the year with a dominating 6-1 victory over Gardner-Webb on Tuesday, March 13, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The match opened with UNC Asheville (8-4, 1-1 Big South Conference) easily capturing the doubles point with a sweep of all three flights. The Bulldog No. 1 tandem of Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley improved to 10-2 on the season by winning 6-1 over Sandra Bolstad and Miljana Ristic at No. 1 doubles. The win was the third straight for the duo.
Christin Louw and Lauren Watson-Steele garnered their third straight win at No. 2 doubles with a 6-3 win over Sarah Rieckmann and Valentine Limauge of Gardner-Webb. UNC Asheville's Taylor Love and Emily Sidor bested Daniela Nauparia and Paula Romero, 6-2, at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, UNC Asheville earned wins in five of the six singles flights. Shipley won her third straight at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bolstad.
Sidor made it nine in a row with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Rieckmann at No. 2 singles, while Watson-Steele won her third straight with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Naupari at No. 3 singles.
Louw won her fifth straight singles match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Limauge at No. 5 singles, while Davidsen won her third straight with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Romero at No. 6 singles.
