UNC Asheville Men’s Tennis Picks Up Impressive Home Win Over UNCG

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team picked up an impressive 5-2 victory over UNCG on Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
The UNC Asheville (3-3) win started with the Bulldogs dominating doubles over UNCG (4-2) with Asheville taking all three flights.
UNC Asheville would go on to take four of the six singles competitions to garner the 5-2 victory.
Nationally 32nd-ranked Henry Patten garnered a 7-5, 6-3 win over UNCG's Connor Thompson at No. 1 singles, while Oli Nolan picked up a 6-4, 7-6 victory over UNCG's Marcus Vidgren at No. 2 singles.
Olly Cull collected an impressive 6-2, 6-1 win over UNCG's Ian Melnik at No. 5 singles and Finlay Ray McFadyen earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles over UNCG's Jack Burkill.
