Cian Ingles and Trevor Gray Recognized with College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Sophomore Trevor Gray and junior Cian Ingles of UNC Asheville Men's Tennis have been recognized with Academic All-District® honors from College Sports Communicators, announced by the organization today (Tuesday, May 12).
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically, maintain a cumulative 3.5 grade point average and also play in 70 percent of team contests that include team scores.
Gray posted five wins in singles play on the season with two wins at No. 4 and three wins at No. 5. He won five matches with Jip Mens with one win at No. 1, two wins at No. 2 and two wins at No. 3. Academically, he holds a 3.75 grade point average in business.
This is Gray's first career Academic All-District honor. He is a native of Cary, N.C.
Ingles earned nine wins in singles play on the season, picking up five wins at No. 2 and four wins at No. 3. He also went 6-2 in doubles play with Jip Mens, with one win at No. 1 and a 5-0 mark at No. 2. Ingles also won one doubles match with Daniel Franco-Key at No. 3. Academically, he holds a 3.81 grade point average in accounting with a minor in finance.
This is Ingles's second career Academic All-District honor. He is a native of Perth, Australia.
"These guys work very hard on the courts and in the classroom," said head coach Dustin Hale. "They are the great examples of what it means to be student-athletes. I'm looking forward to seeing them continue to lead this program forward."
