Bulldogs Fall at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team dropped its road match at Furman, 5-2, on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Mickel Tennis Center.
UNC Asheville (2-3) opened the match with Furman (6-1) with a dominating performance in doubles. The Bulldogs swept all three matches to collect the doubles point.
At No. 1 doubles, Henry Patten and Olly Cull moved to a perfect 4-0 on the season with a 6-4 victory over Furman's Ivan Mitric and Jake Munns. Edward Colclough and Oli Nolan earned a 6-4 win over Cameron Green and Drew Singerman at No. 2 doubles, while Finlay Ray McFadyen and Andrew Sinai garnered a 6-2 win over Alex Steryous and Jake Bhangdia at No. 3 doubles.
Furman from there would win five of the six singles flights to collect the 5-2 victory.
Cull picked up the only win on the day for UNC Asheville in singles with a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-5) win over Bhangdia at No. 5 singles.
