Women’s Tennis Back in Action This Weekend at Wofford Invite

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNC Asheville women's tennis is back in action this weekend at the Wofford Invite at the Reeves Tennis Center.
The event will run from Friday, Nov. 2-Sunday, Nov. 4.

BULLDOG BITES
Last Time Out
UNC Asheville women's tennis put together a solid weekend at the USCU Spartan Women's Challenge that ran Friday, Sept. 7-Sunday, Sept. 9 at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
In doubles, it was the Bulldog duo of Taylor Love and Kylee Shipley that garnered a third-place finish with a 6-4 win over Emilia Bujan and Charlotte Van Diemen of Georgia Southern.
In the consolation finals in doubles, UNC Asheville's Emily Sidor and Christin Louw fell, 7-5, to Gardner-Webb's Milica Panic and Daniela Naupari.
In the consolation finals of the "green" singles portion of the event, UNC Asheville's Anastasia Horvat earned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Panic.
Love just missed on taking home the title in the section with a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Mayumi Saguchi of Gardner-Webb.
UNC Asheville Entering the Fall of 2018
UNC Asheville women's tennis entered the fall having lost just one student-athlete from last year's team.
The Bulldogs were impressive at home last season with nine wins.
The 2017-18 UNC Asheville women's tennis team finished the athletic year with a 3.382 grade-point average as a team to be named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team.
Four Bulldogs were tabbed ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season in Madeline Finley, Anastasia Horvat, Christin Louw and Emily Sidor.
