BULLDOG BITES
Digging it
UNC Asheville's Madisen Zyburt made some incredible plays defensively against Gardner-Webb en route to her first three-set 20 or more dig performance of the year. She now has five matches this year where she has 20 or more digs with the other four coming in four-set matches.
Quotable
"This win is a product of the hard work in the gym, and the fact that they really, really want to win," UNC Asheville volleyball head coach Frederico Santos said. "More importantly, I think they want to show the crowd that we can play and I think that we have not had good performances over the last few matches, but that's also temporary. That's part of the process. Kudos to the team for sticking with the process. It doesn't get any easier, but I think it breathes a sigh of relief and they know again that we can win. Now let's keep working, which they know we need to do, and let's put the best we can out of ourselves out there."
