Women’s Soccer Concludes Regular Season at Presbyterian

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – To conclude the regular season, the UNC Asheville women's soccer team travels to Presbyterian on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Clinton, S.C.

About UNC Asheville
The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's match with a 3-8-4 overall record and a 2-5-2 Big South Conference mark. In the last four matches Asheville is a respectable 2-2 with wins over Hampton and USC Upstate.
UNC Asheville has four players that have scored two goals this year - Kyra Kandel, Gillian Oyos, Justine James and Skyler Chillson. Kandel, Oyos and James all lead the team with a pair of assists.
Seven Bulldogs have played over 1,000 minutes this year. - Grace Kwiatkowski, Ellie Stone, Bella Iorio, Maya Gutman, Chillson, Oyos and Kandel. Sophomore Kwiatkowski has totaled the most minutes on the squad with 1,433 minutes.
Courtney O'Malley has earned the bulk of starts in net this year for Asheville. The freshman from Cumming, Ga. has started in 10 of the 15 matches. She has totaled nearly 1,000 minutes between the pipes and sports a 1.08 goals against average.
Scouting Presbyterian
Presbyterian hosts UNC Asheville with a 7-8 overall record and a 2-7 mark in league play. In its last four games Presbyterian is 1-3 with its lone win being over Campbell. In home games this year the Blue Hose are 3-4.
Kelsey Yeager leads the Blue Hose offense with five goals. Preston Robinette paces the squad with 12 total points (three goals and six assists). Three other Blue Hose has tallied four goals this season - Kori Lawrence, Mallory Hopkins and Morgan Hutchison.
In net Megan Serrano leads PC, as she has played in 14 games with nine starts. She totes a 1.82 goals against average. Alyssa Leaman has also appeared between the posts for Presbyterian, as she has appeared in six games (four starts).
Last Time Out Versus the Blue Hose
The last time the Bulldogs and the Blue Hose squared off was last year at Greenwood Field, and UNC Asheville claimed the 4-3 victory. Erika Snyder scored the game-winning goal for the Bulldogs in the 89th minute.
The last time the two teams faced off in Clinton was two years ago, and the Bulldogs earned the 1-0 victory over the Blue Hose. Courtney Naber tallied the lone goal of the match in the 18th minute.
