ASHEVILLE, N.C. – For its lone game of the week, the UNC Asheville women's soccer team hosts Hampton on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Field.

UNC Asheville enters the weekend with a 1-6-4 overall record and a 0-3-2 mark in Big South contests.
On the year Gillian Oyos leads the UNC Asheville offense, as the rookie from Abingdon, Va. has a pair of goals. The freshman midfielder scored her first collegiate goal at home against The Citadel on Sept. 2. Two games later Oyos netted her second career goal in the first Big South road contest of the 2018 campaign – at Longwood on Sept. 19.
Five other Bulldogs have tallied a goal this year with Maya Gutman being the most recent player to record a goal – versus Gardner-Webb on Oct. 3. The goal at Greenwood Field was the freshman's first collegiate goal.
Bryson Lee started in goal in UNC Asheville's last match – at High Point on Oct. 6. It was her third start this year and first in Big South Conference play. She played the full 90 minutes and corralled two saves at HPU.
Scouting Hampton
Hampton travels to Asheville with a 1-8-1 overall record and a 0-5-1 mark in league contests. The Pirates are currently on a seven-game winless streak.
Sydney Jackson is Hampton's main offensive threat, as she has three goals and two assists this year. She leads the team in goals scored and is tied for the team lead in assists.
Kynnedy Waldon has a pair of goals, and Isobel Finnegan has two assists this year.
Maya Andrews has played in all 10 games this year in net, as she has totaled over 702 minutes between the pipes. She totes a 2.31 goals against average, has 77 saves and sports a .811 save percentage.
