Day number eight started with a free and relaxed morning for all of the boys as we had nothing on the schedule until 2:30 p.m. During the free morning at the Flamingo beach hotel, we enjoyed everything from grabbing a quick tan on the beautiful pacific side beach to body surfing waves all the way back to the shoreline. At 2:30, we packed our drawstring bags filled with bathing suits, wallets and sandals and headed towards Tamarindo beach, which is a tourist beach town that would occupy our late afternoon. On the quick 40-minute bus ride over to the beach, we managed to squeeze in a round of our team's favorite bus ride game, Mafia, which saw tragic endings for many of our teammates, but saw a heroic survival for our athletic trainer, Tavarus Ferguson. Once we arrived at Tamarindo beach, we had three hours to enjoy the sights and sounds of the beachside town before heading back to Flamingo. Back at Flamingo, we gathered in the hotel courtyard to engage in some team-bonding activities. The bonding produced some valuable lessons along with a great deal of laughter. After a team bonding, the group enjoyed a few more hours of free time before heading to sleep and closing the door on day number eight.Â
