CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's tennis players Hannah Francisco, Hunter Hall and Kylee Shipley were honored by the Big South Conference Wednesday, April 19, for success both on and off the court.

Shipley earned first-team all-conference honors in doubles and second-team all-league laurels in singles. Francisco earned the first-team all-conference honors alongside Shipley for doubles play this season.

A sophomore from West Palm Beach, Fla., Shipley has been extremely impressive in her performances this season, earning herself a Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor earlier this season.

Shipley finished the season with a team-best 13-6 overall singles record, boasting an undefeated 10-0 record at the No. 3 singles slot. Shipley also held a team-best 5-3 conference record.

The sophomore has shown her resiliency this year as 11 of her 19 matches have gone a full three sets. Shipley is not only 13-6 on the season in singles play, but 8-3 in matches that have gone the full three sets.

A native of Marietta, Ga., Francisco finished the season with an 8-10 overall singles record as well as a 3-5 league mark.

The No. 1 duo of Francisco and Shipley has had a tremendous season. After their last victory, the top pairing improved to 11-6 on the year and they currently enter championship play having won seven of their last 10. The duo held a 6-2 doubles record in Big South competitions.

"A big congrats to Hannah and Kylee on all-conference," UNC Asheville women's tennis head coach Lise Gregory stated. "The whole team has worked really hard this year and I consider their selection to be a feather in the cap of each individual in this program."

In addition to Asheville's hard work on the court, the Bulldogs' and Hunter Hall also pride themselves on their work inside the classroom as well. Hall was named to the All-Academic Team. Hall boasts a 3.733 GPA as a dual New Media and Management major.
