ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will welcome High Point to Greenwood Field on Saturday, Oct. 7 as the Bulldogs and Panthers will square off at 4 p.m. in Asheville, N.C.

BULLDOG BITES

About UNC Asheville
The Bulldogs are coming off an exciting victory, which held a lot of milestones in the 4-3 victory over Presbyterian: Head coach Michelle Demko earned her 50th career victory, sophomore defender Erika Snyder scored her first collegiate goal in the 89th minute (also the game-winner), freshman midfielder Emily Dueñas earned her first career assist and point and it was the first four-goal performance for the team in over a year.

Senior defender Katie Tuorto netted her second career goal on Wednesday. The goal was her first goal since her freshman campaign. Senior Caroline Houser scored her second goal of the season and the 18th goal of her career, while freshman Skyler Chillson tallied her third goal of her rookie season.

With Houser scoring this week, the Bulldogs now have three players with multiple goals this season. In total, UNC Asheville has eight players that have recorded a goal to go along with six Bulldogs that have tallied an assist.

Asheville continues to out-shoot the opposition as the Bulldogs hold a 170-130 advantage this year including putting 83-66 on frame. Of the 170 total shots taken, Courtney Naber and Houser have combined for 42 percent of the attempts.

The previous three matches for the Panthers have gone into overtime with High Point scoring the game-winner in the previous two matches.
