**Behind-the-scenes insight from final day of the Wofford Invite by senior Amalie Davidsen**

It is a wrap!

The rain is pouring in Asheville; it kind of matches the Halloween atmosphere well, the sound of heavy rain mixed in with the black sky is spooky. My plans for tonight are most likely going to consist of tea and Netflix – I have learned to appreciate the small things in life along with getting older – tonight I am delighted that I can get more than six hours of sleep.

It was predicted rain in South Carolina all day today. Therefore we got a lot of matches done yesterday. Since it did not end up raining, all remaining matches were played today. Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley won their first doubles match, Emily Sidor and I won our first, and Christin Louw and Lauren Watson-Steele won their second match.

Christin did well in singles today and won her match in two sets. Anastasia Horvat pushed her opponent to the edge and barely lost in 10-12 in a well-fought Championship match. I am excited to follow her development when we play in the spring, as I know she will continue playing impressive tennis in our dual matches.

Madeline Finley came back after losing her first set to a solid player from Wofford, and ended up winning her match, as her opponent was forced to retire when Madeline was up 5-3 in the second set. I wish Madeline's opponent a quick recovery – we all know how devastating injuries are.

Nevertheless, we had fun this weekend and got to work on a bunch of stuff in match situations, which is very important for the team in order to get better.

As it is for now, we will continue to practice hard, working with Coach Lise Gregory, playing practice matches and staying in the spirit.

Happy Halloween… Stay spooky.

Good Night!
