WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed their first golf tournament in school history on Monday, September 12. The Bulldogs placed ninth out of eleven teams, with an overall team score of 952 after three rounds.
Seton Hall took the team crown with a total score of 901. The Pirates featured three golfers finishing in the top ten.
Erica Olberding led the way for the Bulldogs over two days with a total score of 234 (79, 76, 79). Olberding score put her 30th in the overall field. Her teammate, Janie Thomas was just two strokes behind her at 236 (75, 80, 81).
NOTABLES
-Olberding turned in an Eagle in her final round. She was one of two golfers to do so this weekend.
UP NEXT
-Following this weekend's tournament, The Bulldogs will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to play in a tournament hosted by UNC Greensboro on October 9-10 at the Starmount Forest Country Club.
