GREENSBORO, N.C. –The UNC Asheville women's golf team placed ninth out of eleven teams at the Starmount Forest Fall Classic.
The Bulldogs posted an overall team score of 982 for three rounds (325,325, 332). Rebecca Black was Asheville's top finisher with an overall score of 236.
NOTABLES
-Black's score placed her 19th overall in the competition.
-Linna Brooks placed seventh in the individual competition with a complete score of 258. She shot 86 for all three rounds of the tournament.
- Adelyn Deery and Janie Thomas both shot 82 in the third round, the best for the Bulldogs on day two.
-Black had the best score on the weekend of 75 in round two.

-Following competition in Greensboro, the Bulldogs will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to participate in the Wofford Invitational on Monday, October 10 and Tuesday, October 11.
