SPARTANBURG, S.C. –The UNC Asheville women's golf team placed tenth out of ten teams at the Wofford Invitational.
The Bulldogs posted an overall team score of 653 for two rounds (323, 330).
Rebecca Black was Asheville's top finisher with an overall score of 156 (75, 81). Kellen Alsip tallied an overall score of 167 (81, 86). Janie Thomas finished third for the Bulldogs shooting a 168 (84, 84). Followed by Erica Oldering with a total of 170 (91, 79) and Adelyn Deery (83, 88).
NOTABLES
-Black's score placed her 21st overall in the competition.
-Linna Brooks placed fifth in the individual competition with a complete score of 165. She scored an 83 and 82.
-Olderding shot 79 in the second round, the best score for the Bulldogs on day two.

Following competition in Spartanburg, the Bulldogs will travel to Cullowhee, N.C. to participate in the Western Carolina Invitational on Sunday, October 16, Monday, October 17, and Tuesday, October 18.
