Location: The Ridges Country Club, Hayesville, N.C.
Time: Sunday, October 16, Monday, October 17, and Tuesday, October 18. Tee times are set for 9:00 a.m. at holes #1 and #10 each round.
HAYESVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team finished competition at the Bill-Berg Invitational hosted by Western Carolina University. The Bulldogs finished in 11th place out of the 12 teams after the third and final round of play.
Asheville's Janie Thomas scored the best for the Bulldogs over the three days of play shooting 15 over par through 54 holes. Thomas finished with a total score of 231 (74, 77, 80).
Kellen Alsip was the next best scorer for Asheville tallying 237 (78, 81, 78) throughout the tournament. Adelyn Deery followed with a total of 239 (82, 77, 80). Rebecca Black posted a 243 (79, 84, 80) and Erica Olberding shot a 255 (82, 88, 85).
NOTABLES
-As a team, the Bulldogs finished 86 over par after three rounds of play.
-Thomas finished in the top 20 of the tournament at 19th overall.
-Thomas shot the best round for the Bulldogs this weekend, a 74 on day one.

-The Bulldogs will not return to action until late February, Monday the 20th, when they travel to Fernandina Beach, FL to compete in the Amelia Island Collegiate at Amelia National Golf Club.
