ASHEVILLE– The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team suffered a 7-0 conference loss to Winthrop University at the Asheville Racquet Club on Tuesday.
NOTABLES
-Winthrop swept doubles play to jump out to an early 1-0 lead over the Bulldogs. Lauren Proctor and Mariana Humberg defeated the Bulldog duo of Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley 6-2 on the number one court.
-Winthrop was able to capture all six singles matches as well, handing Asheville a loss to push their conference record to 1-2.
- This is only the Bulldogs' second conference match at home, Asheville defeated Longwood in their first conference match of the season on February 13. This gives Asheville a conference record of 1-1 at home and 0-1 on the road.
