CULLOWHEE– The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team fell (4-3) on the road at Western Carolina University.
NOTABLES
-Asheville started strong with two doubles wins to earn the point and start the match 1-0. Ericka Rivero and Christin Louw won 6-2 on court two and Hunter Hall and Lauren Brooker picked up a win for the Bulldogs on court three (6-4).
-Western responded with a three-set win on court one to tie the match, (1-1).
-The Bulldogs and the Catamounts went back in fourth in singles play with Asheville collecting wins on courts five and six. Hall on court five (6-2, 6-3) and Louw on court six (7-5, 6-0).
-Western was able to collect four singles wins on courts one, two, three and four to seal the match.
