LYNCHBURG– The UNC Asheville women's tennis team continues conference play with a match at Liberty University on Saturday, March 5 at noon.
NOTABLES
Head-to-Head: The Bulldogs and the Flames are both 1-0 in Big South Conference play so far, with Asheville's win coming against Longwood (7-0), while the Flames defeated Campbell University (6-1). These two teams last met in the 2014-15 season when the Flames captured at 7-0 win over the Bulldogs at the Asheville Racquet Club.
Last Time Out: Asheville is coming off of a 5-0 win over North Carolina Central University on Sunday, February 27 in the Bulldogs' first outdoor game of the season. The Bulldogs were able to collect two doubles wins to decide the first point and four additional singles wins from Ericka Rivero, Lauren Brooker, Kylee Shipley and Christin Louw to secure the match.
Road Warriors: The Bulldogs look to avenge two early losses on the road to Appalachian State University (4-3) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (5-1). Asheville is 1-2 on the road this season, with Saturday's match-up being their first conference match away from home.
