ASHEVILLE– The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team fell 5-2 to the Camels of Campbell University at home on Saturday morning.
NOTABLES
-The Bulldogs battled for control in doubles play with Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley taking flight one, 6-2. The Camels rallied back with two wins in flights two and three to take the doubles point to start the match.
- Campbell collected two more wins on courts one and three, but Asheville's Francisco put a halt to Campbell's momentum, collecting a (7-5, 6-1) win in flight two.
-The Camel's closed out the match with wins in flights five and six for a 5-2 victory.
-Asheville's Lauren Brooker delivered the second singles win for Asheville on court four, with a three-set victory over Campbell's Isabel Boada (6-7, 6-2, (8)).
