ASHEVILLE – The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team travels to Boone, North Carolina for their first road match of the season against the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m.
NOTABLES
Mixing It Up- In last Saturday's match against Lenoir-Rhyne University, the Bulldogs switched up their usual doubles partners to feature a new lineup. Asheville adapted well to the changes, sweeping the doubles matches 3-0. Kylee Shipley and Hannah Francisco took the number one court 6-2. Ericka Rivero and Christin Louw won on court two (6-1), while Lauren Brooker and Amalie Davidsen picked up the third win (6-0).
Hitting the Road- Saturday will be the first road game of the season for the Bulldogs this year. Last year Asheville performed well away from home, going 5-4 on the road. The Bulldogs will travel to six more matches this season with four of those being Big South Conference games.
Freshman First- Freshman, Hannah Francisco is playing the number one spot for Asheville, and is 2-0 on the season both doubles and singles play. She picked up her second win this weekend in two sets (6-1, 6-1) on court one. Francisco also delivered a doubles win on court one with her partner, Kylee Shipley (6-2).

-Following Saturday's match, The Bulldogs will host Longwood University on Saturday, February 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club.
