ASHEVILLE– The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team turned in their first win on the road this season over Birmingham-Southern College at the Ann Dielen Tennis Complex.
NOTABLES
-Asheville swept BSC in doubles play, with Ericka Rivero and Kylee Shipley taking court one 8-2. Lauren Brooker and Hunter Hall chipped in a win on court two 8-1, while the Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, Christin Louw and her partner Amalie Davidsen completed the sweep on court three, 8-2.
-Ericka Rivero won her first singles match on court one in two sets, 6-0, 6-2 and Brooker blanked BSC's Sara Cohen, 6-0, 6-0. Asheville's Davidsen battled for a 6-4 win in the first set on court three but rallied back for a 6-0 win in set two.
-The Bulldogs were perfect in singles play, collecting three more wins on courts four, five and six from: Hall (6-1, 6-1), Louw (6-0, 6-0) and Madeline Finley (6-2, 6-2).
