BIRMINGHAM – The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team suffered a tough 1-5 loss on the road at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to move to 4-2 on the season.
NOTABLES
-UAB took doubles matches on courts one (6-1) and three (6-1) to go up 1-0 on the Bulldogs to start the match. The doubles match featuring the Asheville duo of Hunter Hall and Lauren Brooker on court two did not finish.
-The Bulldogs rallied back with a singles win from Kylee Shipley on court four, but were unable to hold off the Blazers. UAB went on to collect four more singles points from courts two, three, five and six.
-The singles match on court one was unable to finish. Senior, Ericka Rivero fell in set one (2-6), but was ahead in set two (4-2) when the match was called.

On the match- “Today was a tough loss, but a learning experience for our team as we continue to move through the season. We hope to turn around quickly with some good practices this week as we prepare for Western Carolina on Thursday.”
