Christin Louw Named Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's tennis player Christin Louw has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced this morning. The honor gives the Bulldogs back-to-back Freshman of the Week recognition after fellow newcomer Hannah Francisco earned last week's accolade.
The Whitehill, United Kingdom native contributed wins in both doubles and singles play to Asheville's Saturday sweep of Longwood. The duo of Louw and Ericka Rivero picked up a 6-3 win on court two in doubles play over Longwood's Anna Pelak and Mason Thomas and Louw also delivered a singles win on court six in two sets (6-0, 6-3).
So far this season, Louw is 3-0 in singles play and is 3-1 as a doubles player through the first month of her freshman campaign.
Louw and the Bulldogs are 3-1 on the season and will travel south for a pair of matches in Alabama this weekend, taking on Birmingham Southern on Saturday before finishing the weekend at UAB Sunday afternoon.
