ASHEVILLE– The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis team delivered a dominant win over Longwood in their first conference match of the season.
NOTABLES
-The Bulldogs started strong with a clean sweep of the doubles matches, collecting victories on all three courts. The duo of Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley won on court one (6-4), Christin Louw and Ericka Rivero on court two (6-3) and Lauren Brooker and Hunter Hall on court three (6-2).
-Asheville sealed the match in singles play producing wins on all six court to sweep the Lancers 7-0. Francisco picked up a win on court one (6-4, 6-1), Rivero on court three (6-1, 4-6, 6-3), Amalie Davidsen (7-5, 6-3). Hunter Hall delivered a victory on court four (6-2, 7-5), Brooker on court five (6-3, 6-1) and Christin Louw on court six (6-0, 6-3).
-This is Asheville's second 7-0 victory of the season. In all three of Asheville's season victories the Bulldogs have only surrendered one point. Mars Hill took a match off the Bulldogs in singles play in the first match of the season.
