ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team returns home to Kimmel Arena to play host to the Wofford Terriers this Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

BULLDOG BITES

Last Time Out: After stringing together a four-game winning streak, the Bulldogs dropped a 63-51 decision at Furman last Saturday. The rebounding battle was the decisive factor in the matchup, as Furman out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 45-34.

Head to Head: Saturday's game will be the 12th all-time matchup between the two programs. The Bulldogs lead the series with a 7-4 record. Last season, the Bulldogs defeated Wofford, 70-63, on Nov. 17, at Benjamin Johnson Arena.

Home Sweet Home: Kimmel Arena is one of the toughest places to play in all of women's college basketball. This year the Bulldogs are already 3-0 at home with wins over Western Carolina, Tennessee Tech and Warren Wilson. The strong 3-0 start at home this season follows up a performance last year where the Bulldogs were 16-2 at Kimmel Arena.

Up Next: Following the game with Wofford, the Bulldogs will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to face off with USC Upstate next Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m.

QUOTABLES

"We had a lot to learn as a staff and team from the lackluster performance at Furman last Saturday. We know we are capable of much more and this week in practice we have been focusing on the aspects of the game that need most improving. This is also our exam week so the girls are doing a nice job coming to work and producing during a stressful time. Improving and executing will be necessary to have a positive result against a tough Wofford team who is extremely hot right now. I have been more than impressed with them on film and Coach Garrity is doing a great job in his first year at the helm with a talented group." - Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick
