-The last Asheville loss in extra time came back in August 2012 (double overtime 2-1 loss vs. East Tennessee State). The last Bulldog loss in a single overtime came way back in October 2011 (4-3 loss vs. Gardner-Webb).
QUOTABLES
“Today was all about being resilient. We had to go back onto the field where we underachieved on Friday night. The challenge was to go right back into that environment and be successful. For that to happen says a lot about their willingness and want for team growth. Today's response was exactly what we were looking for. Huge team effort and a great step forward of growth from for the program. Good energy from the bench. I give them a ton of credit for staying invested both nights and making sure the players on the field heard them and felt their energy. It's not easy to do but that kind of selflessness is a big reason we were successful today.” - Head Coach Michelle Demko
UP NEXT
-The Bulldogs return home to take on USC Upstate on Friday, September 19, when they welcome back all Asheville Women's Soccer alumni to the game.
