Women's Tennis Travels to PC

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team will travel to Clinton, S.C. Wednesday afternoon to face Presbyterian College in a Big South matchup at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
Asheville (12-6, 2-4 BSC) enters the match on the heels of a three game losing streak, but winners of its last three matches against the Blue Hose. Presbyterian College is 12-8 overall and 1-6 in the Big South following a 4-3 loss to Radford last Friday.
Coach Lise Gregory's side has been strong this season in doubles play with a 33-17 overall record in doubles matches. Christine Boissevain and Lauren Brooker have a team-best 13 wins, while Hunter Hall and Amryn Soldier have posted a 7-4 record playing as the primary third flight pairing.
Senior Emily McNall has led the Bulldogs in singles play this season with an 11-4 overall dual match record, including a 5-1 marker at the top flight. Splitting time at No. 5, Amalie Davidsen (7-3) and Hunter Hall (5-1) have given the Blue & White a 12-6 record at the fifth flight this season. Overall, Davidson has an 11-6 record, while Hall is 8-6 for the year.
PC is led by Caroline deLoach who is 14-6 overall for the Blue Hose in singles play, with a 9-3 doubles record with teammate Sara McBride.
Asheville will conclude the regular season on Saturday when it travels to Rock Hill to face the Winthrop Eagles. The match was previously scheduled to be Friday at 2:00 p.m., however, the match has been moved and will begin at 12:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs will return to Asheville on April 15 to host the Big South Tennis Championships at the Asheville Racquet Club.
