ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The undefeated UNC Asheville women's tennis team will turn its attention to the Big South Conference slate this weekend when they host Radford on Saturday afternoon before traveling to Winthrop on Sunday.
Coach Gregory's team will host the Radford Highlanders at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club. Last season, the Bulldogs were ousted from the Big South Conference Championships, 7-0 by the Highlanders, after the regular-season matchup was cancelled because of bad weather. The last time the two teams met in Asheville, the Blue & White defeated Radford 5-2.
The Bulldogs will travel to Winthrop on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. match with the Eagles. Asheville is looking for its first victory in quite some time over Winthrop. Last season the Blue & White lost 6-1 in this matchup at the ARC.
Asheville has been very good at the lower flights this season with Amalie Davidsen, Hunter Hall, and Caroline Sherrer undefeated at No. 5 and No. 6 this season in singles play.
