Women's Tennis Sweeps Brevard College 7-0

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's tennis stayed unbeaten on the young season with a 7-0 sweep of Brevard College on Saturday after at the Asheville Racquet Club.
Coach Lise Gregory's Asheville squad (2-0) got off to a strong start in doubles action before owning the singles portion of the match, winning each flight.
Asheville doubles point came courtest of Lauren Brooker and Christine Boissevain's 6-1 victory at No. 2, and Amryn Soldier and Hunter Hall's 6-1 win on court three. The No. 1 pairing of Emily McNall and Erika Rivero fell 6-4.
The Bulldogs swept singles with dominating wins at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6. Boissevain won at No. 3 6-2, 6-1 and freshman Amalie Davidsen earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the fourth flight. Hunter hall grabbed a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 and Lauren Brooker won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
Erika Rivero needed three sets to pick up a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at the top flight and Amryn Soldier rounded out the day with a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 win at on court two.
The Bulldogs will take two weeks off before returning to action on Saturday, Febraury 7, when they host Western Carolina at the Asheville Racquet Club.
