ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team makes its fall debut this weekend at the Elon Fall Invitational that will be held at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. The three-day tournament begins on Friday at 9 a.m.

The Bulldogs will compete in both the singles and doubles action throughout the weekend.

“This is a good tournament for us to begin the fall season,” commented Asheville coach Lise Gregory. “We'll see some very good competition and see where we stand at this point of the year. We're looking forward to competing again.”

Asheville returns three seniors for the 2014-15 season. The trio are Christine Boissevain, Emily McNall and Amryn Soldier. Also back are juniors Ericka Rivero and Lauren Brooker along with sophomores Hunter Hall and Caroline Sherrer. Amalie Davidsen from Denmark is this year's lone freshman on this year's club.
