Women's Tennis Falls to Campbell 5-2

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Zoe Hamel and Jenna Dodge picked up singles victories but Big South newcomer Campbell earned the doubles points and was able to win four singles matches to slip past UNC Asheville 5-2 Saturday evening at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
Hamel at #1 singles downed Karolina Chernaya in three sets. The sophomore rallied for the win as she came back to post a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory. Dodge also won in three sets. The freshman at the #5 flight rallied past Katya Yegoreychenko, 3-6, 6-3, 10-6.
The Bulldogs battled hard in doubles and lost the point 2-1. The doubles team of Emily McNall and Christina Boissevain won their match at #2 flight, 8-6.
Asheville (3-6, 0-1 BSC) hosts Brevard in a rescheduled match on Monday starting at Noon.
