Wofford Edges Women's Tennis 4-3

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Wofford won four singles matches, including two in three sets as the Terriers edged UNC Asheville, 4-3 in women's tennis action at the Asheville Racquet Club Saturday evening.

The Bulldogs (2-3) won the doubles point as Asheville's #2 and #3 doubles team posted victories. Devon Cavanaugh and Zoe Hamel picked up the point when they edged Julia Paulson and Samantha Sullivan, 9-8. They won the tie-breaker, 7-4.

In singles action, Zoe Hamel and Christine Boissevain won at #1 and #4 singles respectively. Hamel won in three sets as she slipped past Sarah Evans, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2.

Asheville is back at home Wednesday when the Bulldogs entertain Augusta State at 11 a.m.
