Short-Handed Women's Tennis Falls to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A short-handed UNC Asheville women's tennis team lost to powerful Atlantic 10 foe Charlotte, 7-0 on the road Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (5-4) only had five players available due to Devon Cavanaugh's injury. Asheville had to forfeit a doubles match and a singles match.
Senior Stephanie Schon lost her first match of the year as Andrea Rivera won in straight sets. The Bulldogs #2 doubles teams of Britney Cloer and Nicole Schon rallied to beat Emmanuelle Briant and Iveta Gueva of Charlotte, 8-6.
Asheville is back in action Saturday morning at home when the Bulldogs host East Carolina at Crowne Plaza Tennis Center at 11 a.m.
